Oggi vi presentiamo Tamara Peterson (@_tamarapeterson), da New York City, USA. Eclettica, amante della sua città e della fotografia, concentra tutto il suo quotidiano nel suo stream di Instagram. Chi è Tamara Peterson? Come ti descriveresti?
Tamara Peterson è una newyorkese di nascita che ama esplorare la propria città armata di iPhone. La sua aspirazione è quella di catturare la bellezza che la circonda
Quando hai iniziato a occuparti di fotografia?
Ho iniziato al college, dove ero iscritta al corso di arti visive.
Sei nata “fotografa analogica”?
Beh, diciamo che la fotografia per me è sempre stata sia un hobby che un’autentica passione.
Cosa rappresenta la fotografia per te oggi? La associ più al lavoro o al divertimento?
In effetti, entrambe le cose. Sono molto fortunata a esser riuscita a trasformare il mio hobby in una carriera.
Il tuo stream su Instagram è ricco di angoli cittadini e tavoli imbanditi in modo artistico. Si tratta di un progetto specifico che avevi in mente di seguire o sono semplicemente i soggetti che preferisci fotografare?
Il mio feed è l’estensione della mia vita e di ciò che mi circonda ogni giorno. Non voglio limitarmi a postare un unico soggetto.
Spesso sentiamo dire che su Instagram è preferibile avere uno stream uniforme, ma molti pensano che concentrarsi ad esempio su un unico soggetto limiti la creatività. Qual è il tuo punto di vista a riguardo?
Come dicevo, di fatto per me è importante che la mia vita sia rappresentata nel mio feed. Quindi non solo un soggetto, ma di fatto ciò che incontro nel quotidiano.
Quali pensi che siano i tre segreti per avere successo su Instagram oggi?
Uno stream di qualità, coerena del contenuto ed essere parte attiva della community.
Cosa suggeriresti a chi sta pensando di aprire un account?
Di trovare il proprio punto di vista, condividerlo e divertirsi.

Sicuramente continuerà a espandersi e diventerà sempre più popolare.

Sono sempre felice quando ho l’opportunità di sperimentare nuove cose per il mio feed. Quello che spero è di poter viaggiare di più e di poter condividere queste esperienze con i miei follower

Who is Tamara Peterson? How would you describe yourself?
Tamara Peterson is a native New Yorker who likes to explore her city armed with her iPhone. She looks to capture the beauty that surrounds her.
When did you start taking pictures?
I started taking pictures while in college. I was a studio arts major.
Were you born as an “analogic photographer”?
Photography has always been a hobby and a passion for me.
What does photography represent to you today? Is it more about work or fun?
Photography is both work and fun. I feel very lucky that I’ve been able to turn my hobby into a career.
Your stream on Instagram is rich of cityscapes and artistic table settings. Was it a specific project you wanted to follow or do they simply happen to be your favourite subjects?
My feed is an extension of my life and every day surroundings. I don’t want to limit myself and only post one subject.
We often hear people say that on Instagram a uniform stream is very appreciated. Some instead think this focus on a unique subject, for example, may be a limit to creativity. What do you think about it?
I think for my feed it’s important to me that it is an extension of my life and I don’t want to limit myself to only posting one subject.
What do you think are the 3 keys to success on Instagram today?
Quality of feed, consistency of content and being engaged in the community.

I think it will keep growing and getting more popular.
